Rating: Moderate—2.5 miles off-trail, including some steep off-trail hiking. This hike is suitable for most people in good physical condition.
Recommendations: Wear long pants and good hiking shoes or boots (sandals or shoes that do not cover your feet are not permitted). Consume a minimum of 1 liter of water for every two hours of hiking and a snack for any hike over two hours. Most hikes are in open meadows and exposed slopes; all participants should wear sunscreen and consider a hat.
