Description
Each year, RidgeGate teams up with the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District to provide free, guided nature hikes throughout RidgeGate's expansive bluffs trail system.
Led by professional naturalists, these hikes provide insight and education into the natural ecosystems within RidgeGate's open space while offering a chance to get some fresh air and exercise. They are free to the public.
Buck Moon: After an introduction to night vision in animals and humans, hike up to a breathtaking vista to experience the rising moon (9:10 PM). Sunset is at 8:22 PM, so you'll be descending in twilight and by the light of the full moon. Flashlights may be welcome due to the degree of darkness.
