Description
Each year, RidgeGate teams up with the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District to provide free, guided nature hikes throughout RidgeGate's expansive bluffs trail system.
Led by professional naturalists, these hikes provide insight and education into the natural ecosystems within RidgeGate's open space while offering a chance to get some fresh air and exercise. They are free to the public.
Urban Coyotes: Urban coyotes adapt to human-imposed change. The coyote/human connection endures in part due to our shared ability to adapt well. Learn what to do when a coyote howls nearby or seems a little too friendly as you hike and how to keep coyotes wild.
