Description
Each year, RidgeGate teams up with the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District to provide free, guided nature hikes throughout RidgeGate's expansive bluffs trail system.
Led by professional naturalists, these hikes provide insight and education into the natural ecosystems within RidgeGate's open space while offering a chance to get some fresh air and exercise. They are free to the public.
Common Backyard Birds: Look for birds in the morning when they are actively feeding. Feel free to bring your own binoculars or just enjoy the sights and sounds of birding with the human eye. Learn which characteristics will help you identify various species while exploring the trail with an excellent birder or nature lover.
