Description
From May through October, Lamb Spring Archaeological Preserve, a world-renowned historical site in Douglas County, offers free tours on one Saturday each month.
Guided tours take you through the prehistoric resting sites of mammoths, horses, camels, bison, and sloths. You’ll also learn about artifacts left behind by early humans, which are helping to shape the history of the North American Continent.
The tour includes a short hike. Guests may bring a chair for the initial presentation in the Lamb Spring parking area. No restrooms or water are provided on the tour.
