Description
Join Douglas County Open Space Volunteers for a unique hiking experience! Enjoy the crisp evening air as you hike to the top of Hidden Mesa Open Space for a stunning view of the full moon rising. Hidden Mesa is known for its mule deer, birds, snakes, and occasional black bear, so you might get lucky and see some wildlife too! Parking will be at the trailhead off HWY 83. The hike will take you from the Farm trail to Cherry Creek trail, then enjoy the climb on the hidden mesa trail to the top for a fantastic view of the moon! Total hiking distance is about 4 miles.
