🎞️ Outdoor Summer Movies In and Near Douglas County

Enjoy a Colorado summer evening with a favorite film outside!

The weather doesn't get much better than in Colorado during the summer. My family loves watching movies but we also love to spend as much time as possible outside. The Summer Movie Series lets us do both!

CASTLE ROCK: Starlight Movie Night
Festival Park, 300 2nd St., 80104
Enjoy a free movie night under the stars! The event will include food trucks, free bounce houses, family activities, and more! Please bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, or other items to sit on. Families are also welcome to bring food, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages.

HIGHLANDS RANCH: Unlock the Magic
Civic Green Park, 9370 Ridgeline Blvd., 80129
Join Douglas County Libraries for an outdoor movie! Bring chairs, blankets, and snacks for a showing of Inkheart. Find your spot, listen to music, and make a fun kids' craft, followed by a movie under the stars. This event is part of DCL's Summer Reading Program; registration opens on June 17.

HIGHLANDS RANCH: Backcountry Outdoor Movie Series
Backcountry Wilderness Area, 6005 Ron King Trail, 80125
Pack a picnic dinner, your favorite movie snacks, and blankets or camp chairs for a night of movie magic on a giant outdoor movie screen every Friday night — all summer long! Tickets are $25 per car; only 45 car tickets are available each evening.

All proceeds benefit the Backcountry Conservation and Education Fund.

PARKER: Unlock the Magic

Join Douglas County Libraries for an outdoor movie! Bring chairs, blankets, and snacks for a showing of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. Find your spot, listen to music, and make a fun kids' craft, followed by a movie under the stars. This event is part of DCL's Summer Reading Program.

RED ROCKS: Film on the Rocks
Red Rocks, 18300 W. Alameda Pkwy, Morrison, 80465
After two years of drive-in screenings and a limited run of in-amphitheatre events in 2021, the 2022 Film on the Rocks will be a fully in-amphitheatre experience.

The classic summer series returns, featuring live performances and beloved films under the stars at the iconic Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre. The pre-show begins at 7:00 PM with the movie starting at 8:30 PM. General admission is $16; VIP seating is $32.
